PetTagMan offers 3 types of shipping methods for Australian customers which are explained below. Overseas orders are shipped using standard Air Mail.
STANDARD POST: Standard Post is the default method of post. It generally takes 2-4 days depending on location. Once we deliver your order to our local Australia Post office your package is taken over the counter. We then send you an automatically generated email which advises your order has been made and posted. PLEASE NOTE: Standard mail does not over any cover in the instance your goods go missing with Australia Post. There are no means to track your order and you will just have to wait until it is delivered. We take digital images of each and every order with the delivery address as proof of manufacture and posting. Digital images are kept a maximum of 1 month after post date. We do offer the ability to both sign for your delivery as well as insuring your package. These options are available during the checkout process.
REGISTERED POST: Registered Post is the the first option you have of being able to track your order. It generally takes 3-5 days depending on location. Once we deliver your order to our local Australia Post office your package is scanned into their system. We then send you an automatically generated email which contains the tracking url as well as the package tracking number. PLEASE READ THIS EMAIL. You just enter the tracking number at http://auspost.com.au/track/ and you can follow the progress of the Australia Post delivery process. Registered Post also means your order will need to be signed for. If no one is home to accept the package then your local Postie will leave a carded message advising where your package can be collected from. Please note you will need to show some sort of identification when picking up your package. If you dont pick up your package within 7 days then Australia Post will leave a second carded message. If you dont pick up your package within 14 days from the first card then Australia Post will return it to us. If this happens then we will have to repack your order and repost once the owner has paid for the reposting*.
EXPRESS POST: Express Post is offered when you need your purchase as quickly as possible. Australia Post guarantee overnight delivery if you are within certain regions which can be viewed at the below url. http://auspost.com.au/personal/express-post-and-express-post-platinum-networks.html Once we deliver your order to our local Australia Post office your package is scanned into their system. We then send you an automatically generated email which contains the tracking url as well as the package tracking number. You just enter the tracking number at http://auspost.com.au/track/ and you can follow the progress of the Australia Post delivery process. Express Post articles are not signed for like registered post and are left at the address if unattended. Please note we do not take responsibilty if parcels are stolen from your delivery address. Australia Post scan the package which confirms your order has been delivered. In the unlikely event that your order is returned to us for any reson then the purchaser will have to pay the cost to repost the item*. We do offer the ability to both sign for your delivery as well as insuring your express package. These options are available during the checkout process.
OVERSEAS ORDERS: Standard Air mail does not offer insurance for your purchase and due to the excessive cost of insured Air Mail no customers have been willing to pay the Australia Post charge which costs almost the same as a set of tags! This means overseas orders can NOT be tracked. If you want your order to be insured then you will need to contact us prior to purchasing so we can apply the appropriate insurance charge which is based on the value of the order.
Please note PetTagMan DOES NOT take responsibility for delivery times. As you will understand it is totally out of our control once mail has been lodged with Australia Post. However in the case of registered and express mail, we will give you all the information required via email so you can follow your order as soon as Australia Post scans it through. Through our experience, we recommend that if you have not received your goods after 5 business days you should check your tracking number(that we have already sent you via email) on the Australia Post website. This way you can see the latest information that has been provided by Australia Post.
* In the event that PetTagMan has made an error with addressing on any of the above 3 delivery methods and your package is returned to us then we will pay the cost to repost the item to you. We take digital images of each and every order with the delivery address as proof of manufacture and posting. Digital images are kept a maximum of 1 month after post date.
